A threshold is the only place where two worlds touch. It is not a room. You cannot live in one. The whole point of a doorway is that it ends.
The four Threshold Archetypes in the Spore Oracle are the moments when ordinary time gives way. The Choice Not Taken — the alternate life that grieves you at 3am. The Becoming Knot — the tangled middle of a transformation that has not yet revealed its shape. The Veilwalker — the season when one identity ends and another has not yet arrived. The Returning Thread — the friend, the practice, the place that comes back to you, changed.
When a Threshold card appears in a reading, the temptation is to ask what it means. The better question is: what is it asking me to do?
Thresholds do not survive being analysed. They survive being walked. The Veilwalker does not want you to understand the doorway — it wants you to cross it.
If you suspect you are standing in one now, try this: name out loud what you are stepping away from, and what you are stepping toward. Even if the second is only a feeling. Even if it has no name yet. The naming is the crossing.
And then keep walking. The Spiral does not wait at the door.
